Celebrating 60 Years of Community Service and Athletic Dominance!!!
Founded in 1959, the High Ridge Chargers are a non-profit youth football and cheer organization located in the Rogers Park community on Chicago’s north side. Since our inception, the High Ridge Chargers have helped more than 10,000 children from diverse ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. We proudly serve young men and women primarily from Chicago, Evanston, Skokie, Lincolnwood, and other neighboring communities. Our organization provides an opportunity for boys and girls (ages 5-14) to participate in a fun structured environment that places a high priority on teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and the invaluable benefits of being a student-athlete. Each year, the High Ridge Chargers provide a haven that keeps nearly 250 kids “off the streets and on the field”, while involved in an organized group activity.
The High Ridge Chargers are the oldest and traditionally richest youth football and cheer organization in Chicago; having won multiple national championships, numerous midwest regional championships, several conference championships, and countless bowl games. The High Ridge Chargers operating officers, board members, coaches, and team parents are all unpaid volunteers. The majority of our volunteers are either former players/cheerleaders or dedicated parents.
